HSBC SVNS returns to Perth with an unmissable lineup of entertainment
From Friday 24 January to Sunday 26 January, 2025, players and fans can enjoy three sun-soaked days of world-class rugby sevens action, alongside vibrant nights filled with energetic entertainment.
Following last year’s success, this year’s festival promises an action-packed weekend like no other. Attendees can enjoy epic rugby sevens matches featuring the best 12 men’s and women’s teams, mouth-watering food offerings, interactive activities, roaming performers and a blockbuster lineup of entertainment.
Internationally acclaimed artists Voyager featuring Perth Symphony Orchestra’s INNEKA, Southern River Band, and Adrian Dzvuke are some of the big names set to light up the stage with unforgettable performances.
On the pitch the spectacular entertainment will come from the world’s best 12 men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams with Olympic stars gracing the HBF Park turf at the third round of the global HSBC SVNS series.
Australia women got their campaign off to a perfect start with victory at the opening round in Dubai last weekend with an epic win over rivals New Zealand in the final, with a record-breaking 15 tournament tries from newly crowned World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year Maddison Levi.
Since their formation, Perth’s very own Voyager have fearlessly defied genre norms and boundaries.
They embrace pop, use a keytar on stage, and bring a positive, uplifting energy to their riff-laden music, standing out among heavy bands. The genre-transfiguring quintet blend new-romantic and 80’s vocals, keytar solos, melodic fretwork, groovy bass, and bombastic drumming, making them a renowned progressive pop metal force.
Voyager’s journey of passion, perseverance, and patience led them to Eurovision 2023, where they secured a Top 10 spot representing Australia with their song PROMISE, an epic progressive pop metal masterpiece of adventure and redemption.
They say you’re only as good as your last, and whoever ‘they’ may be, they’re dead right. The Southern River Band epitomises everything about that statement. Hailing from Thornlie, Western Australia, they are a WAM Award-winning powerhouse known for their electrifying performances and genre-blending style. Performing to sold-out shows across Australia and the UK, this dynamic group brings a unique energy to the stage, blending Aussie rock anthems with dance-worthy tracks that captivate audiences of all kinds.
Adrian Dzvuke is a true rising star. With a dynamic stage presence and unique sound, the multi-award winning Afropop artist has cemented his status as one of the most sought-after emerging artists in Australia, receiving cosigns from global legends like Coldplay along the way.
After moving to Perth from Zimbabwe at age 12, Adrian began his musical journey singing and playing drums in church. His roots in African rhythms and his passion for blending Afrobeats, R&B, and Pop genres shine through in his music.
His meteoric rise has culminated in performances at prestigious events like Splendour In The Grass, SXSW Sydney, Listen Out, Groovin The Moo, Music Matters Live (Singapore) & Canadian Music Week (Canada).
He has also shared the stage with acclaimed acts such as Coldplay, Spacey Jane, Omah Lay, POND, San Cisco, Stella Donnelly, and Kizz Daniel.
His 2021 debut EP, ‘Phone Me When You Lonely’, and 2023 project ‘Don’t Worry Bout It Sweetheart’ have garnered him attention from Triple J, BBC Radio, Rolling Stone, NME & MTV, as well as international chart positions and more than 4 million streams.
