WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE HON RITA SAFFIOTI MLA, DEPUTY PREMIER; MINISTER FOR TOURISM
The Western Australian Government is pleased to welcome players, officials, staff and passionate rugby fans who are travelling to Perth/Boorloo for the 2025 HSBC SVNS.
After a sellout first year in 2024, we are pleased to see this unique tournament return, offering an unrivalled sporting festival experience and showcasing an inclusive, world-class international rugby union competition.
More than 300 athletes from the 12 best men’s and 12 best women’s teams will take to the field at HBF Park in Perth, attracting fans from all corners of the globe to witness this fast-paced rugby extravaganza coupled with entertainment and immersive experiences.
The 2025 SVNS Perth tournament is a major event in Western Australia’s diverse and always-on, year-round events calendar, supporting our State’s reputation as the fastest growing events destination in the South East Asia region.
In addition to the three-day SVNS festival at HBF Park, I encourage all visitors to enjoy our vibrant city with its variety of entertainment and dining options – including the popular FRINGE WORLD Festival, which offers comedy shows, music and musicals, circus performances and much more from 17 January to 16 February.
We also invite everyone visiting Western Australia to extend their stay and discover iconic destinations such as King’s Park, Fremantle, the Swan Valley, and Rottnest Island, or explore the State’s unique regional areas.
The idyllic Margaret River Region is only a few hours’ drive away, or a short flight, and offers world-class wineries and restaurants, renowned surf breaks and endless Karri forests, plus an intricate cave system which visitors can explore.
We hope you enjoy your time in Western Australia, and we’re thrilled to have you here with us.
